At the beginning of last week it was time again! AXCD 2019, the most important event in terms of marketing and text automation, took place on 17 September in the media and state capital of Berlin. Below you will find a short review of the AXCD 2019.
This year, the hosts chose the Radialsystem in Berlin as the venue for the event. In this historic building with a modern superstructure, art and drama are normally exhibited. Last Tuesday a spectacle of the extra class was once again fired there.
Passing the old brick facade, the visitors came straight into the new, industrial-look building. There they were warmly welcomed and provided with packed visitor bags, VIP ribbons and lots of information, various drinks and snacks. The service of a live translation was even offered. Despite the crowds of visitors, there was no unpleasant waiting time for anyone.
The motto of this year's AXCD was "Limitless Content". The focus was on the question of how to meet the constantly growing demand for content. In keeping with this, the visitors were made familiar with the topic of the future with a warm welcome from Saim Alkan and an opening video ready for film: Hybrid Content Editing.
The subsequent lectures by leading experts such as Norman Nielsen from omio.com, Björn Darko from Searchmetrics or Meike Ostwald from Microsoft also gave visitors a feel for the pulse of the times and showed that text automation has long since arrived in companies. Especially exclusive was the keynote by marketing legend Karl Kratz, whose presentation was one of his last.
The lectures on the main stage were complemented by the more private Masterclasses. Unfortunately, this year they were a bit overcrowded despite the ample space. However, this will be prevented next year by the possibility of pre-registration. At this trade event the visitor was offered a colourful bouquet of topics. No wonder that also big companies like Deloitte or Parsionate were on board as exhibitors and used the AXCD for networking and information.
In addition to the theory, the AXCD offered the perfect framework for networking. This was where the Who´s Who of the industry met. Old contacts were revived and new ones made. A smooth process was ensured and there were numerous contact persons who were always available to answer questions or to meet special requests. Culinary wishes also remained unfulfilled. As could be otherwise in Berlin, a total of four of the city's hottest food trucks arrived on time for lunch.
The outdoor area directly on the river Spree became one of Berlin's legendary street food markets in no time at all. As you can see, this relaxed environment invited you to try a variety of dishes, chat and relax.
There is only room for improvement in the distribution of participants in the master classes.
AXCD 2019 has lived up to its name and this year again offered its visitors a great event on hot topics of marketing and text automation. This creates anticipation for next year! By the way, the first blind tickets are already available on https://axcd.io/.
